Penumbra, from Victor Niederhoffer
August 24, 2012 |
Considering the astonishingly large number of experts and hobbyists we have on astronomy here, may I appeal to you to educate me and possibly some others… One of my favorite proverbs, one that I made up is "the round number is never a penumbra". It always gets broken like today (albeit many other numbras one could say the same thing about)… but … but assuming it is true with appropriate sliding, is the astronomical reference correct? Or if not, how should it be modified? Thank you.
Anatoly Veltman questions:
Why astronomy, and only astronomy?

Don’t know about that but all those earthquakes in Alaska down thru Mexico seem to be affecting the geyser cycle for Old Faithful. It’s been bouncing wildly for the last few days.

On another note, we know commodities have a lagging area which is textiles. Cotton is one of that lagging group and trying to perk up a bit.

I guess the 25 or 2+5 = 7, anniversary of the harmonic convergence almost to the day now. 83 years ago or 8+3 = 11, the same or alike settings in the stars. May move or to the same affects as a 75 year ago 1+9 =10 3+7=10 1+0+1+0 11
