This is a wonderful short piece to see about 100 year old best selling author Bel Kaufman, granddaughter of Sholem Aleichem. Will we have

an opportunity to give such an interview? I don't know, but we can certainly aspire to have one!

A beautiful woman in the best sense of the word.

“Pretty pretty good”. I thought about someone else who has 7 daughters :) .
One thing I noticed is that “new” Jews the one that never had to use that defensive technique and didn’t experience any discrimination in America are not as funny or as smart as Jews off the boat (they don’t have to be, there is no “smykalka” among the young). Discrimination made us stronger (even during early days in America) and kept Jews together. I always said, blacks and Jews are funny because we have to be to survive, what else do you do?

I love this woman! All I can say is that I want to be like her when I grow up!
