With all of the recent drama in my life, Iquitos doesn't sound all that bad. Certainly sounds better than the TriBeCa Mothers constantly in your face for some imagined slight. The only deal breaker is — how far it is from good waves?

Lost City of Z gives an entertaining picture of exploration in the Amazon. Fun read. Visited Madres de Dios in Amazon last year. Saw in the jungle 4′ poisonous spiders, 1/2 ants that can kill, caimans in the water. Good luck down there Bo.

“The minimum wage is $5/day and jobs are plentiful with the streets handswept each night by Playboy bunnies.” As for the TriBeCa mothers, I got shushed (including the index finger over her mouth) for honking a horn in traffic. When’s the next flight from JFK?

Gerald Mayeaux sounds a lot worse than any NY mom. Be careful.
