Some very interesting research is being done at Cornell which could be very useful in uncovering laws underlying large datasets.

    Fascinating research but it raises metaphysical questions since the computers and algorithms are built by humans — and based on human experience/perception. If the computer is a modern day Galileo — and it discovers that the world is flat — will humans change their view? Or will they throw out the computer?
