Energy, from Barry Gitarts

June 28, 2007 |

Today is one of those days where there was much movement in market, only to end the day practically unchanged. Makes me wonder: what's the purpose of such energy expenditure?

‘what’s the purpose of such energy expenditure?’

To extract as much money possible from every participant

A very good question. I suspect the answer would have to come from the same ‘entities’ that create the noise.

I refer to the professional stop running just prior to the large buy program, taking out all stops on both sides. I don’t believe these are naturally occurring trading patterns, and are manipulations designed to ’skim’ the market.

This is not limited to Fed day, but is more transparent (bigger fish/plausible deniability) on such days.

Of course, this could simply be a figment of a too creative imagination.
